IAS Fine Art Logistics a family owned business for over 35 years, provides transport, storage, packing and crating services to the art industry throughout Australia.

In 2026 we will be managing an exciting and unique project in the city of Adelaide to relocate six (6) million objects, incorporating the off-site collections of the South Australian Museum, Art Gallery of SA, State Library SA, and the History Trust SA from their current home to a new purpose built facility.

This relocation project will be the largest of its kind in Australia.

Once in a lifetime move of this magnitude.

We will require a dedicated team of experienced object handlers for a period of 18 weeks from Monday 2nd February thru Friday June 5, 2026, with a small team continuing on into July.

Working alongside our IAS team, this work will require you to be on your feet all day every day, so a level of fitness and stamina will be required.

Maintaining a stable team is important on a project of this size, as it enables a rhythm and consistency of approach to achieve our project goals and desired outcomes of on time, on budget with zero damages.

Employment type: Fixed Term Contract

Term: Monday 9th February to Friday 5 June

Hours of work: 8.00am to 4.06pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays

Hourly Rate: $40.00 plus superannuation, plus overtime if required

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Experience in art handling, museum collections, or similar delicate object handling required.
