The role
As a Consultant / Specialist Anaesthetist, you will:

• Deliver high-quality anaesthetic services across a broad case mix (elective and emergency)
• Support the Clinical Director with service planning, patient safety, and quality improvement
• Teach and supervise Registrars, Provisional Fellows, PHOs, JMOs and Interns
• Contribute to research, audit, and multidisciplinary service development

Scope of practice
The Anaesthetics Department provides services for:

• Orthopaedics, trauma, general surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics
• ENT, dental, ECT and endoscopy
• Pre-assessment clinic, acute pain service, obstetric epidural service
• Trauma and cardiac arrest team support

About you

• FANZCA or ANZCA SIMG assessment: Substantially Comparable
• Broad anaesthesia experience, including emergency and paediatrics
• Collaborative team player with strong leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety, continuous improvement, and teaching
