Blue Gum Community School is a unique small school in Inner North Canberra, offering programs from birth to 16 years (Playgroups through to Year 10).

We offer Preschool classes for 3-5 year olds at our Hackett Campus & our Dickson Campus. ‘Word of mouth’ recommendations from families ensure that our high-quality education programs attract a long waiting list.

So, we're excited to invite outstanding early childhood teachers (or diploma-qualified educators) to join our wonderful team. We have a full-time position available from the start of 2026; casual work is also available in Term 4 2025. While full-time is preferred, part-time may be considered for the right candidate.

TEACHING INTERNSHIPS - another option

Blue Gum also offers paid Teaching Internships to pre-service teachers & new graduates - the chance to team-teach with an experienced teacher. This is a year-long supportive culture in which to transition from uni student to competent confident teacher! An ideal metamorphosis for a newly-graduated early childhood teacher!
