Clinical Assessor
Join Us and Shape the Future for Older Australians

In a sector that's constantly evolving, demand for our high-quality services is growing, and so are we. We believe in making an impact that lasts — and we're looking for resourceful, resilient, forward-thinking individuals to help us do just that.

ACNA don't just adapt to change — we lead it. Whether it's navigating major aged care reforms, embracing new digital assessment tools, or reimagining how we work, we're committed to creating a workplace that thrives on innovation, empathy, and purpose.

What is the role?

Here is a typical week for a Clinical Assessor:

Picture yourself travelling to a client's home, learning about how they live and supporting them through identifying strategies and supports to maintain their independence as they age. Now picture doing this multiple times a day, each day of the week – and the impact you will have on each person's life. This is part of our Aged Care Assessment program (formerly known as ACAT or ACAS assessments).

Your warm personality, existing skills and experiences, complemented by extensive training and support enable you to convert your client interactions into meaningful support plans documented using digital tools as guided by ACNA's Active Assessment method.

You love driving. The reality of our role in the community is that we spend a lot of time driving between clients and listening to many podcasts, audio books and Taylor Swift (okay, Taylor is not for everyone).

Dip into learning experiences and team experiences to expand your knowledge, networks and career.

Who are we looking for?

Adaptable thinkers who thrive in dynamic environments.

Strong communicators and empathetic collaborators.

Passionate problem-solvers with a growth mindset.

Authentic. Fun. Genuine. Brilliant. Approachable and a little bit cheeky 😊

Physio, OT, Social Worker or RN? This role is for you!

Current professional registration is required at the time of application.

Candidates must have legal eligibility to work in Australia.

It is important that you have at least one year of experience working in aged care or with older people.

Why Join Us Now?

Purpose-Driven Work: Your contributions will directly impact the lives of older Australians, their families and communities.

Flexibility & Support: We love to welcome team members who have a range of interests, are open to a 4-day working week, require remote options and mental health resources.

Growth in Motion: Uncertainty breeds opportunity — and we're investing in your development every step of the way.

Competitive salary: $51.45 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, with generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per year, mileage reimbursement and travel opportunities.

Health & wellness programs.

Let's Build Something Together That Matters

We have included the Position Description at our Ethical Jobs Board (search via your browser for Ethical Jobs > Access Care Network Australia).

If you're ready to turn uncertainty into possibility, apply now by clicking Quick apply.

No letter or response to selection criteria is required, but do be ready to attach your CV. Without the Typeform, your application will not be received and therefore not processed.

Once we receive your application we will contact you about the next stages of the process – usually within a week but it could be faster! Our recruitment process is a little different to most. We use lots of activities to give you an opportunity to understand how we work and your typical day. We start to get to know you through your application, then we move into group video discussions (GVDs) and end the process with a few hours of activities so you can show us what you are made of.

Important dates:

We will host 1-hour group video discussions (GVD) from 3 October onwards.

If you are successful in the GVD, you will be required to attend one of our in-person Recruitment Centres (about 2 hours in total) in Melbourne CBD between 15 and 17 October (venue and times to be confirmed).

Compliance takes roughly 5 business days to complete.

If successful, we are hoping you can start as soon as the 19 November 2025.

We recruit on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
