The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Builder to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing small-scale renovation projects, performing repairs and maintenance, and contributing to the successful completion of various residential and commercial construction projects in the Canberra region.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee small-scale renovation projects and perform repairs and maintenance across domestic and commercial premises.

Carry out installations of timber and metal frames and trusses, commercial fit-outs, mezzanine structures, residential home extensions, and building defects and remediation.

Communicate effectively with management and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Supervise construction workers and coordinate tasks to ensure efficient project execution.

Liaise with suppliers to manage materials and resources effectively.

Follow job instructions and scope of works diligently, ensuring tasks are completed to specification.

Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

Trade qualification in carpentry

Comprehensive knowledge and skill set in carpentry, maintenance, and general building work.

Recent experience in similar roles with a proven track record of success.

Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and manage resources efficiently.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Valid driver's license enabling travel between job sites as required, White Card, Working with Asbestos and Silica Awareness.
