We operate a broadacre dryland cropping farm 65km north of Moree, Northern NSW. Growing wheat, barley, chickpeas, sorghum, sunflowers. We have a small Angus breeding herd.

Accommodation is available for suitable candidates.

We have a position for a junior farm hand. Would suit a person looking to make a start in the agriculture industry who is a school leaver 2025. The position is available commencing January 2026.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Some farm exposure or agricultural background would be advantageous for this role.

Good physical fitness is required as this position involves active farm work.

It would be an advantage to have an interest, background or some experience in agriculture. We would like the person to have completed their HSC and have a drivers licence. They would require capable maths skills, able to operate GPS/computer screen and to be able to keep records. This person must be reliable, trustworthy and willing to learn. They must take pride and interest in their work. The job would suit an active person. they will be working under the owner and 2IC along with casuals and contractors at planting and harvest. They should be willing to work as a team member and good communication skills will be essential.

A provisional driver's licence (P1 or P2) is required for this role.

The job description involves operation and maintenance of tractors, sprayers, planter, harvester, chaser bin and grain handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. There will be some cattle work involved, fencing and general farm duties. There will be on the job training and we encourage the perosn to complete any courses they may be interested in doing either trade or tertiary online.
