As a Despatch Hand, you will provide the key link between Production and the continuing supply chain to customer. To succeed you will be agile in your response to packing finished goods, produced using a ‘just in time’ methodology. As part of a small team, you will have the flexibility to adapt to changing work demands. More specifically your duties will include the following:

Manage workload using the business management system

Inspect and pack completed product, and prepare for shipping

Undertake maintenance of despatch plant and equipment

Liaise with transport companies

Participate in stocktakes

Undertake housekeeping

In determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:

Basic computer literacy

Skilled at inspecting product for obvious faults

Ability to work safely, and with others

Able to process basic paperwork
