Bellbowrie Pool & Gym is a hub for our local community, where we are passionate about teaching children the lifeskill of swimming and encouraging a supportive environment of fitness and leisure for all.

JUST Sports and Fitness is a provider of lifestyle fitness centres across south east QLD. Home to 9 pools in the Brisbane, Ipswich and South Eastern corridor including 6 gyms and fitness facilities, Just Sports and Fitness has a long-standing reputation as a leader in Lifestyle centres. We are seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to become an integral part of our team. Candidates should be prepared to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day roster, with shifts scheduled between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm. Hours available range from a minimum 6 hours to 35 hours per week.

With multiple positions open, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our members and guests. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for duty manager roles.

We have multiple positions available, for learn to swim teachers, lifeguards, duty managers and gym trainers to join our team. You can join us in one or more of these roles, which offers great variety and reward from your day job.

If you don’t currently have learn to swim qualifications, have no fear - we want to hear from you too. Teachers, students at university, stay at home parents and/or anyone with experience working with children will thrive in this role.

What you'll be doing:

As a member of our team, you can work in a varied role.

• Teaching swimming and fitness to children and adults
• Lifeguarding duties, pool deck supervision
• Instructing aqua aerobics and group fitness gym classes
• Pool testing, assist in maintaining water quality
• Working with fun and cooperative people
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of all members and guests
• Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
• Assisting with daily operations and special events
• Providing excellent customer service to members and customers in our cafe

What will you need?

• A love for teaching in a fun environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow a lesson plan and communicate skills learned as per a set lesson plan.
• Have or be willing to obtain learn to swim qualification and/or lifeguard qualifications, including First Aid and CPR Certificates and a current Blue Card
