About us:
Cancer Care Services provides care for patients with cancer from all divisions and geographies across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and at times extends to patients living in Central Highlands of Queensland. Day Therapy and Outpatient Ambulatory services are provided during business hours, Monday to Friday. Systemic anti-cancer treatments and supportive therapies are the core business of the service.
About the role:
A cancer patients' journey involves many health professionals in different treatment facilities across widespread locations. Patients and carers often need an experienced clinician to coordinate their care, to help them navigate health services, and to provide a single point of contact for information and support. The role of the Cancer Care Coordinator is designed to help fulfil this need. Cancer Care Coordinators provide continuity of care through diagnosis, treatment including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy and follow-up and provide specialist knowledge to staff and those affected by cancer.
About you:
- Must have a Registered Nurse qualification with a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory an Oncology Nursing Qualification/Experience or commitment to completing qualification in a relevant post graduate qualification would be considered highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,105 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
