About the Position
As the Admissions Officer, you will work within the Admissions team, supporting prospective and current applicants throughout the application and offer process. Reporting to the Senior Admissions Officer, you will assess domestic applications, provide accurate and timely responses to applicant enquiries, and contribute to outbound conversion campaigns and process improvements.

The Admissions Officer supports various admissions functions across a wide range of courses and intakes, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses, enabling programs, and micro credentials. Your responsibilities will include assessing applications, managing routine admission tasks, interpreting entry requirements, and providing excellent customer service with accurate information in accordance with CDU and government regulations. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders such as SATAC, Student and Academic Services, Faculties, and Future Students to ensure a seamless and efficient end-to-end admissions experience.

The role also supports the broader Student and Academic Services (SAS) team through cross-skilling, quality assurance, and participation in student recruitment and engagement events such as orientation, Open Day, and graduation ceremonies.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of Year 12 and/or Certificate IV in a nationally accredited qualification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Callista (Student Management System) and SANTAS or a willingness and ability to learn the University systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements for admissions at CDU or similar experience in a highly regulated customer service environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a high standard of customer service, including effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct efficient administrative duties including planning and prioritising workloads to meet critical deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to provide a professional and solutions-focused service to meet customer needs, prefereably in a tertiary education context.

Additional Competencies at Level 5:

  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the University’s courses, policies, and student processes.
  • Proved ability to interpret and apply admissions-related policies and knowledge to resolve more complex enquiries.
  • Proven ability to investigate and problem solve in order to achieve a positive outcome.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and identify and contribute proactively to process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload with minimal supervision and maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4-5. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 - $87,716 per annum.
The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 - $102,627 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
