About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers with a strong background in mental health support. You will work closely with participants to provide day-to-day assistance, emotional support, and practical guidance in line with individual support plans.
This role requires flexibility, as shifts will include evenings, overnights, and weekends on a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to participants with mental health needs.
Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks where required.
Support participants to engage in social and community activities.
Monitor and respond to participants’ wellbeing, escalating concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
Work collaboratively with participants, families, advocates, and the wider support team.
Essential Criteria
Minimum Cert III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Community Services (or working towards).
Experience supporting people with mental health conditions.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
Availability for evenings, overnights, and weekends on a rotating roster.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or similar.
Previous experience in SIL (Supported Independent Living) settings.
Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
