Do you want to play a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality, and effective mental health services across Western Queensland?
We are seeking expressions of interest for the Mental Health Commissioning Coordinator position (part-time, contract until June 2026, with possibility of extension).
About the Role
This role supports WQPHN’s commissioning and contract management of mental health services. You’ll oversee compliance, risk, and reporting, while developing key program resources and liaising with providers to ensure accountability and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and monitor contracts with commissioned providers.
Support risk, governance, and compliance processes.
Develop program templates, resources, and provider-facing documents.
Maintain commissioning maps, dashboards, and registers.
Contribute to continuous improvement in commissioning practices.
The Right Person
You will bring:
Experience in contract management, governance, or commissioning.
Knowledge of compliance, risk, and reporting processes.
Advanced publishing and document development skills.
Excellent communication skills to support provider engagement.
Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health or community services is desirable.
Our Working Environment
Ideally, this critical role will be based within the Western Queensland region, such as in Longreach, Mount Isa, Winton, Roma or surrounds; however, applicants are welcome to apply from across Queensland.
