About the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join a busy and reputable equipment service team in Canberra. This is a hands-on role working with a wide range of plant, heavy vehicles, and hire machinery. The successful candidate will be detail-driven, reliable, and ready to hit the ground running.

Tasks & Responsibilities

* Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines and equipment
* Conduct preventative maintenance on plant and hire machinery
* Fault finding, testing, and mechanical adjustments
* Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
* Support the team with urgent breakdown repairs when required

Skills & Experience

* Trade qualification in diesel mechanics (essential)
* Minimum 2 years' experience servicing and repairing diesel engines
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Current driver's licence and White Card
* Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
