About the program

In a peaceful, rural area south of Brisbane, Logan House based at Chambers Flat, offers a residential alcohol and drug treatment program, which is part of a continuous package of care. Our Residential Treatment program at Logan House has serviced the community for over 40 years. With the goal to encourage residents to live life well Logan House offers a specialist alcohol and drug treatment residential program for people aged 18 years and over. Our program aims to provide a safe and supportive environment free from alcohol, illicit substances and non-prescription medication to support our resident’s treatment journey.

About the Role

This is a casual position reporting to the Team Leader, the main focus of the Cleaner position is to provide the highest standard of cleaning services and hygiene across all common areas within Logan House Residential Service. Your typical day will involve:

• Undertake cleaning duties across the facility.
• Floor cleaning including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and steam cleaning, detail dusting, glass cleaning, and kitchen cleaning to support continued compliance to Infection Control and Food Safety Standard across all areas of the facility.
• Assisting in the ongoing cleanliness and tidiness of all public areas and client areas including assisting with linen replacement and cleaning at the withdrawal unit.
• Transportation and movement of equipment and stock across the facility as required.
• Other suitable tasks as directed.

About you

The successful candidate will have Demonstrated understanding of WHS, EEO and Infection control principles. Additionally, you will also possess the following:

• Demonstrated ability to carry out the physical aspect of the position.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to engage easily with a multidiscipline team.
• Ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with staff and clients.
• previous cleaning experience gained from working within a community residential setting is highly desirable or in commercial.

The hourly rate of pay for this role is $34.59 - $37.74 per hour plus super plus applicable casual loadings.
