Asphalt Production Plant Operator

Suncoast Asphalt is seeking an Asphalt Production Plant Operator, based out of our Asphalt Plant in Narangba, one of Brisbane's northern suburbs. As an Asphalt Production Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our asphalt production plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of asphalt products for our construction projects and customers.

In your new role with us, you will:

Operating and controlling asphalt plant machinery and equipment

Monitoring and adjusting production process to meet quality standards

Performing routine maintenance and repairs on the plant equipment

Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Collaborating with the production team to coordinate daily operations and optimise productivity

Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and resolving operational issues

Maintaining accurate records of production and equipment maintenance activities

Adhering to company policies, including safety protocols

This role is a great fit for you if you:

Previous experience as an Asphalt Plant Operator or similar role is advantageous

Understanding of asphalt production processes & equipment

Familiarity with plant control systems and computerized equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting

Ability to work effectively as a part of a team and independently

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality results

Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and nights if required

Valid drivers' licence and reliable transportation

Tickets/experience on plant machinery such as front-end loaders/forklifts

Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening

What we offer:

Between $30 - $37 p/hour, pending experience, plus penalty rates and allowances and plus super

Working hours are generally Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm with optional Saturday work - may change pending work volumes
