What is the role?
The Learning and Development Command (LDC)'s primary mission is to help develop and maintain a skilled and capable workforce through comprehensive training and development programs.
The Learning Data team plays a critical role through the management of training data, strategic reporting, maintenance of training records, and course administration whilst advising and guiding work areas on a range of training-related matters. The team ensures that all aspects of training and development are meticulously documented and strategically aligned with the AFP's strategic goals.
As a Team Member in the AFP you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
Under the direction, and in support, of the Team Leader Learning Data, the Learning Data Administrator (Senior Team Member) is responsible for delivering outcomes related to the AFP's learning strategy, including administering and overseeing tasks to support organisational objectives.
This includes, but is not limited to tasks related to:
- Producing detailed reports that provide insights into the efficacy of training programs to identify areas for improvement and aid in strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, solve complex problems and think strategically
- Developing and implementing instructional and governance material such as policies, procedures and processes
- Project management and associated financial activities
- Ensures team progression towards objectives and intervenes when necessary to overcome difficulties
- Supervising and mentoring staff in the execution of general tasks to advance the achievement of team objectives
- Offering guidance and innovative solutions to support LDC deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with clients and building collaborative relationships
- Maintaining contemporary skills and knowledge
- Other tasks as required

Essential Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
- A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
- Relevant qualification or experience and knowledge in area of expertise (SAP, SAS or equivalent)
Desirable Requirements
- Project Management qualification or experience or ability to obtain
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams

- This position is an AFP Band 6 level.
- This role is located in Canberra, ACT and applicants are expected to be based in Canberra.
