About the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) is the national regulator of Commonwealth funded aged care services. We work with stakeholders to foster a world-class sector that safeguards the wellbeing and rights of older Australians receiving aged care.

We offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities. It is an exciting time to join the Commission, with major reforms underway to improve aged care in Australia. You will be contributing to our vision for older Australians to trust and have confidence that aged care services protect and enhance their safety, health and quality of life.

About the Team

The Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy division builds capability across the aged care sector, empowers older people and oversees the Commission’s regulatory strategy and regulatory practices, as well as analysis to inform risk-proportionate regulatory activities. This division communicates to, and manages relationships with key audiences, including older people, aged care providers, workers and Commission staff. Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy is also responsible for the operational policies and procedures that underpin the Commission’s regulatory functions. This division is headed by the Deputy Commissioner Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy.

The External Communications Section leads delivery of a range of communications programs and initiatives to support the Commission’s role as the national regulator for aged care. Working within a team of communications professionals, the successful candidate will contribute to the programs, projects and other deliverables as required. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development, delivery and evaluation of wide-ranging external communications strategies and activities.

You will provide all-round support for the team including administrative tasks, writing and editing for both internal and external audiences and channels, and managing communications requests from across the Commission.

The successful candidate will have an eagerness to learn and develop within the role in a supportive and collaborative working environment. You will provide project management and reporting support and be central to effective planning and coordination of our busy work program. You will contribute to the delivery and evaluation of wide-ranging communications strategies and assist in the production of quality content and products.
