About the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) is the national regulator of Commonwealth funded aged care services. We work with stakeholders to foster a world-class sector that safeguards the wellbeing and rights of older Australians receiving aged care.

We offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities. It is an exciting time to join the Commission, with major reforms underway to improve aged care in Australia. You will be contributing to our vision for older Australians to trust and have confidence that aged care services protect and enhance their safety, health and quality of life.

About the Team

The Sector Capability and Regulatory Strategy Division sets the strategic direction and guides the delivery of our risk-based regulatory operations informed by high value intelligence, analysis and data. The Division supports whole of Commission responses to risk issues through regulatory policy responses and campaigns, and facilitates sector performance through sharing information with providers and consumers

The Data, Analytics and Intelligence (DAI) Group manages and analyses data from the aged care sector and regulatory activities to understand risks and performance for the purposes of prioritising and informing preventative and responsive risk treatments and regulatory decision making.

DAI’s role is to identify risks and guide decisions that inform preventative and responsive risk treatments. DAI supports service delivery through authoritative data and intelligence practice that is contemporary and compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and aligned with the strategic imperatives of the Commission.

About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst collaborates across teams to translate data into clear, meaningful information, products and services that delivers business outcomes. Working under limited direction, the role is expected to exercise sound judgement, apply specialist expertise, manage competing priorities, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement. The outcomes of these endeavours empower the Commission to manage risk and ensure older Australians receive the quality of care they rightfully deserve.

  • Managing data extraction, analysis and modelling to assist with data-driven decision making and reporting.
