Company:

An innovative mechanical engineering company, focusing on the design and build of medium to large niche engineering products. They employ 500 + in Australia and require skilled fabricators/welders/boilermakers to work with other skilled trades on their busy shop floor.

Applicants will have at least 2 years of MIG welding experience (2 to 12mm).

Work will involve:

• MIG welding and fabrication of industrial heavy-duty steel frames, conveyor frames, plates, hoppers, brackets & more (generally mild steel).
• Some TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum parts (finer assemblies), and large tanks.
• Arc Welding – Stick occasionally for workshop repairs.
• Sheet Metal Fabrication 1.6mm to 10mm. Flame and plasma cutting.
• General Machining, operating, and maintaining cleanliness and refurb of the plant.
• Cutting, roll grooving, pipe threading, and use of power tools and equipment
• Working on your initiative and as part of a team.
• Recording any faults/issues that arise.
• Working to strict HSEQ standards.
• Lean environment.
• Forklift desirable.

Hours & Pay:

Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2.30 pm, then time & a half. Friday 6 am to 1 pm, then time & a half to double time thereafter. $40 to $44 per hour, depending on experience, $80,000 to 90,000 + overtime. 4 and a half-day week roster.
