About the role

ESTAY ENGINEERING is seeking a full-time First class Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to the manufacturing and maintenance operations of our growing business. As a first class Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to high standards.

What you'll be doing

Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work to specification (MIG / TIG)

Interpreting drawings to fabricate, assemble, and repair a range of metal components and structures

Operating various workshop equipment such as bandsaws, press brakes and hand tools.

Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant safety procedures

Assembling componentry into finished machinery

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a First class Welder or Fabricator, OR a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience

Proven competence in a variety of welding techniques, including finishing to a high standard (grinding / polishing etc)

Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

A willing & happy attitude

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Forklift licence an advantage

Experience operating assembling machinery an advantage, but not necessary

Experience working with mild steel and aluminium materials

Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for visa sponsorship
