We currently have an opportunity for a Range Operator Level 2. Join our Social Infrastructure & Citizen Services - Defence Property & Asset Services team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Property and Asset Services to the Department of Defence across QLD, NSW and the ACT. Reporting to the Range Supervisor, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Join our Social Infrastructure & Citizen Services - Defence EMOS team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Property and Asset Services to the Department of Defence across QLD, NSW and the ACT. Reporting to the Range Supervisor, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* Conducting basic inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of Training Areas and Ranges.
* Supporting the operation of range facilities, infrastructure, and target systems in line with Defence requirements.
* Promoting and implementing Zero Harm practices, proactively identifying and managing risks.
* Capturing performance metrics and contributing to contract reporting for Range Supervisors.
* Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Bring (experience required)
- Experience in facilities maintenance, minor repairs, and caretaker responsibilities.
* Knowledge of range operations and safety compliance requirements.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with Defence stakeholders.
* Current and valid Driver Licence (Medium Rigid Truck Licence recommended).
* Relevant training and certifications such as PUAFIR201, PUAFIR204, PUAFIR303, PUATEA001, and Range Induction Course.
