Warehouse Operators / Forklift Drivers

Melbourne’s West (Sunshine North Area)

Hourly Rate $52.81p/h (Plus Super)

ILS, a progressive labour hire company is seeking contractors to engage at our client site in Sunshine North as warehouse operators and Forklift Drivers.

Our client is a multinational paint manufacturing company, specialising in manufacturing chemical products.

The primary role of the raw materials picker is to pick pallets of dry raw materials and deliver them to the pre-weigh team. In addition, you will be recording location of all pallet removal/replacement that can then be managed in ERP system. General warehousing duties include housekeeping, 5S, pallet labelling management, cycle counting.

Duties will include but not limited to:

· Operation of the following equipment: Forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet trucks, manual pallet jacks, manual trollies, vacuum bag lifter, electronic scales, drum lifters, drum tippers, drum movers when required

· Picking and delivering pallets of raw materials to pre-weigh team

· Diligent recording of pallet locations/movements

· Completing all appropriate paperwork, computer (SAP system) and scanning transaction

· Loading and Unloading delivery trucks if required

· Servicing various departments within the company with raw materials, moving finished goods to warehouse

· Receiving inward and outward goods if required

· Cycle counting and inventory checking

· Housekeeping/5S of warehouse

· Adherence to company policies and procedures

· Understanding process instructions and completing all appropriate paperwork

To be considered for this role you must:

· Hold a valid and current Forklift Licence

· Have counterbalance and High reach experience

· Knowledge of SAP System is advantageous

· Have own reliable transportation

· Be able to work Monday to Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm, working 12hour rotating timetable OR Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:45pm

· Have experience working in fast paced environment

· Have previous experience in warehousing environment

· Ability to follow strict work procedures and OH&S policy

Successful candidates must have ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work autonomously and be physically fit and reliable.
