About the role

APX Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Water Cart Operator to join our dynamic team in Coomera, QLD. As a Water Cart Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our civil construction projects, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of water management tasks. This is a casual position, providing flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our company.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating a water cart to distribute water across construction sites, maintaining optimal moisture levels for compaction and dust suppression

Conducting pre-start checks and monitoring the water cart's condition, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements

Collaborating with the construction team to understand project needs and prioritise water distribution tasks

Maintaining accurate records of water usage and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations

Providing support to the wider construction team as required, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach

What we're looking for

Relevant experience as a Water Cart Operator in the civil construction industry, preferably within a similar environment

A minimum of 1 year water cart operating experience is required

Proficient in the operation and maintenance of water carts, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety

Excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with the construction team and respond to changing project requirements

A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain the necessary certifications for operating specialised machinery

A Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence is required for operating the water cart

A strong understanding of relevant safety and environmental regulations, with the ability to work in compliance with these standards

Australian work rights are required for this position
