About the role
Join ACMI's Programming team as our Senior Programmer, Film & Screen Industry and manage the delivery of ACMI's program strategy for film and industry programs. Leading the delivery of film screenings, events, community gatherings, talks and industry programming, this key role ensures ACMI's program delivers for a broad range of audiences. Overseeing ACMI's creative working space ACMI X, this role is also required to cultivate a broad range of pathways and partnerships that align to our vision of being a hub for the screen sector. The role balances significant program and project management with robust people and financial management responsibilities. This is a new full-time ongoing role reporting to the Director of Curatorial, Programming & Education.
What you'll bring to the role
- Track record of screen culture curatorial practice and film programming, including research, writing, publication, public speaking and interviews for a range of internal and external outputs.
- Knowledge of screen culture histories, contemporary themes, issues, emerging trends and practices, with a wide range of networks within national and international distributors, production companies, agents, screen industry suppliers, producers and agencies.
- Inclusive programming with a facilitative leadership style that cultivates opportunities for a wide range of community partners.
- Strong experience in partnership development and stakeholder management, with a track record in the conception and delivery of meaningful development programs for screen creatives.
- Robust financial management and governance skills, with high level budget oversight and contract negotiation skills.
