Position Title:
Sales Assistant
Position Summary:
The Sales Assistant plays a critical support role, ensuring the Business Development Manager (BDM) can focus on high-value client engagement and strategic relationship-building. The Sales Assistant manages research, appointment scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions, keeping opportunities moving efficiently through the early stages of the sales pipeline. By handling these tasks, the Sales Assistant enables the BDM to spend more time uncovering client needs, building trust with decision-makers, and progressing qualified leads toward the solutions stage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
1. Number of appointments booked for the BDM
2. Number of outbound calls
3. CRM accuracy
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep the BDM out on the road by booking face-to-face presentations and meetings with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Research and identify high-value contacts for venues and groups through online research and conversations with relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain target lists of architects, designers, venue operators, developers, and brokers.
- Keep dormant leads and existing clients warm with structured follow-up calls and emails.
- Manage and monitor the BDM’s calendar, ensuring meetings, follow-ups, and deadlines are scheduled and met.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information, images, or samples needed for meetings.
- Proactively research and identify new leads through BCI construction reports, LinkedIn, industry publications, and council planning applications.
- Record all prospect interactions, contact details, and next steps accurately in Pipedrive CRM.
- Prepare visuals to support client presentations (e.g., mood boards, 3D renderings, product/project images).
- Prepare and structure presentations for the handover of qualified deals to the Project Sales team.
Perform other tasks as reasonably directed by management.
