Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
We are now seeking enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled and Registered Nurses with experience in all areas. As a member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Positions will be offered on a casual basis for all departments and wards.
The Enrolled Nurse Position
- Function within legal and registration constraints in relation to enrolled nursing practice.
- Maintain and develops clinical skills to deliver patient care appropriate to level of competence.
- Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.
- Adhere to and supports hospital policies, procedures and standards.
- Act as the patient's advocate and protects the rights of individuals.
- Provide patient education and participates in discharge planning, where applicable or as required.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrate a courteous manner to internal and external customers.
The Registered Nurse Position
- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse. You will demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Minimum 2 years' previous experience within a hospital environment and postgraduate qualification will be highly regarded.

We can offer you
- Registered Nurse Salary: $50.29 to $64.35 per hour (includes casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
- Enrolled Nurse Salary: $45.80 to $48.85 per hour (includes casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
