About Role:

• Safely collect, transport, and dispose of scrap steel and recyclable materials in accordance with company and client procedures.
• Safely operate waste collection vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, SWMS, and Eastern Guruma standards.
• Perform and document thorough pre-start and post-operational vehicle and machinery checks; immediately report all defects, faults, or Red/Yellow tag issues to the Supervisor.
• Ensure vehicles are safely parked and cleaned at the end of each shift.
• Operate only equipment you are trained, assessed, and deemed competent to use.
  Collect, transport, and dispose of scrap steel and recyclables per company/client procedures.
• Inspect bins for prohibited items and report non-conforming materials according to procedure. Secure bins safely and in line with load restraint requirements.
• Communicate job progress and equipment status to the Supervisor regularly.
• Complete waste tracking forms, run sheets, and other required documents accurately.
• Complete hazard assessments (Take 5, CCC, JHA) before commencing work.
• Stop work and report immediately if conditions are unsafe.
• Record details of work, including machine use, hours, location, and cost codes.
• to achieve operational goals.
• Support supervisors, liaise with clients on-site to coordinate bin placement and access requirements.

About you:

• Valid HR and/or HC Driver’s Licence.
• Experienced with skip lift and hook lift trucks.
• Knowledge of load restraint, waste handling, and heavy vehicle operations.
• Strong safety focus, with ability to follow SWMS and procedures.
• Clear communicator with supervisors, team members, and clients.
• Accurate with paperwork, timesheets, and waste tracking.
• Team player, willing to assist with labouring tasks.
• Flexible to work on remote or various sites.
