Maintenance Electrician

Location: Mount Gambier, SA

Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour (casual, depending on experience)

Shifts: Day/Afternoon Rotating Shifts ​

Latitude Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a leading industrial operation in Mount Gambier. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment, ensuring the smooth operation of production facilities. ​

About the Role: As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing machinery and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and attending to breakdowns. ​ This hands-on role requires a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. ​

Key Responsibilities: ​

Perform repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. ​

Inspect and recommend improvements to enhance machine performance. ​

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and close out corrective actions. ​

Ensure electrical safety of all plant and equipment. ​

Carry out electrical testing and tagging as required. ​

Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment. ​

Report malfunctions or concerns to the Maintenance Manager. ​

Experience and Qualifications: ​

Electrical trade qualification

Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (timber industry experience is a plus)

Current registration under the Plumbers, Gas Fitters, and Electricians Act (South Australia)

Current Driver’s Licence

Ability to work rotating day/afternoon shifts

Strong adherence to safety procedures
