MAYDAY Healthcare is proud to be partnering with a leading healthcare organisation in their search for the very first Nurse Unit Manager to establish and lead the nursing team at a brand-new Cancer Care Centre in the stunning Manning Great Lakes region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the nursing team, ensuring open communication and a collaborative culture
- Oversee day-to-day operations, resource allocation, and patient care standards
- Ensure adherence to best practice oncology guidelines and evidence-based nursing
- Manage team performance, including reviews and professional development initiatives
- Work closely with doctors, radiation therapists, and allied health staff to deliver outstanding patient care
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to support excellence and innovation
Ideal Candidate:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience in medical oncology nursing
- Previous leadership and management experience (oncology highly regarded)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to manage resources effectively and apply relevant healthcare legislation
