Are you a passionate leader ready to shape the future of Occupational Therapy services? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapy Manager to lead our dynamic team at West Gippsland Healthcare Group.
The Occupational Therapy Department delivers services across acute units (Medical, Surgical/Orthopaedics, Emergency Department, Short Stay), sub-acute care (GEM and TCP), Aged Care (Andrews House and Cooinda), Prehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation (centre-based and home-based), Outpatients and Community programs.
In this leadership role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services that enhance functional independence, safety, and quality of life for patients and clients. With responsibility for departmental budgets, staff and service management, and the oversight of clinical programs, this role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with clinical expertise.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, Administration staff, and the Community Rehabilitation Service. The successful candidate will bring proven leadership skills, strong clinical knowledge, and a commitment to driving service excellence and innovation within a changing healthcare environment.
This is a permanent full-time position of up to 76 or 80 hours per fortnight. Job share arrangement will also be considered.
Our preferred candidate will have:
Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy Board.
Extensive clinical experience relevant to the position.
Provision of satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
Current Victorian Driver License.
The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:
Member of the relevant industry body.
Post Graduate qualification as relevant.
Previous managerial experience.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
