About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker/Fitter to join our advanced

manufacturing team in Thornton, NSW. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who

thrives in a modern, innovative environment. You'll be working on high-quality fabrication,

welding, and fitting projects, while gaining exposure to robotic welding technologies.

Structural steel and Pipework fabrication experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Boilermaker Duties (Primary):

● Fabrication and welding of pipework, plate, and structural steel

● Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

● Preparing, measuring, cutting, and assembling steel components

● Operating welding equipment safely and to a high standard

● Ensuring quality control checks and compliance with WHS standards

● Assisting in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems

Fitter Duties (Secondary):

● Assembly of valves, flanges, and fittings to pre-fabricated pipework

● Performing basic mechanical fitting and maintenance tasks

● Supporting lean manufacturing and workshop efficiency processes

Requirements

● Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fitter (essential)

● Proven fabrication and welding skills (MIG/TIG/Stick advantageous)

● Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

● A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn

● Must have the legal right to work in Australia

● Minimum 5+ years of boilermaker/fitter experience is required

Highly Regarded (but not essential):

● Experience with robotic welding or automated production systems

● Familiarity with modern manufacturing workflows and lean processes

● Forklift or overhead crane licence

● MR Truck Licence
