The ACS is seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager with the required knowledge, skills and capabilities to oversee the planning, development and delivery of the ICT Platform within the Australian Climate Service.
The successful candidate will be skilled in delivering projects in a complex and dynamic environment with a focus on overseeing the ICT Platforms. The role reports to the Program Manager, PO (Information Enablement).
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Report to the ACS Program Manager leading Information Enablement
2. Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of interdisciplinary teams involved in development and delivery of products/outputs via the ACS Portals and Platform
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take corrective actions to ensure timely completion.St
3.Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, and meetings to gather input and ensure their involvement throughout project development and delivery stages.
- Address stakeholder concerns, manage expectations, and foster collaboration among diverse groups of IT technical and climate science and analysis leads.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of resources.
- Monitor project expenses, track financial performance and prepare regular budget updates.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate project-related challenges.
- Proactively assess and address issues related to technical un-certainties and key dependencies.
- Implement contingency plans and adapt project strategies as needed to minimise risks.
6. Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and project documentation for internal ACS stakeholders, Program Management Office and management levels.
