About the role

As an Electrical Instrumentation Technician at BC Electrical Services', you will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems across our diverse client base. This full-time role is based in Southern Tasmania and offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in the local area.

What you'll be doing

Installing, testing and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, VSD's, SCADA, and various control and measurement devices

Performing diagnostics, fault-finding and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment

Providing technical support and training to customers

Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, regulations and safety requirements

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our electrical and instrumentation services

What we're looking for

Qualified Electrician with a Certificate III in Electrical - Instrumentation or equivalent

Proven experience in an electrical instrumentation or maintenance technician role

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an electrical instrumentation or maintenance technician role

Strong knowledge of PLCs, VSD's, SCADA systems, and various control and measurement devices

Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens S7), SCADA system.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation diagrams

High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Strong communication skills to liaise with customers

A current driver's licence

Current Electrical Work Licence issued by an Australian state/territory authority

Current Construction White Card and Working at Heights certification

Unrestricted right to work in Australia
