About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Panel Beater to join our dynamic team at Gateshead Smash Repairs' in Gateshead NSW 2290. As a full-time Panel Beater, you will play a crucial role in repairing damaged vehicles to their former glory, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality repairs.

What you'll be doing

Perform high-quality panel beating repairs on a variety of vehicles (no restoration)

Use specialised tools and equipment to straighten, reshape, and refine damaged panels

Prepare surfaces for priming by sanding & filling.

Remove & Refit necessary items in relation to repair area

Collaborate closely with the team to ensure efficient and timely completion of all repair jobs

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Adhere to manufacturers specifications

What we're looking for

Licensed as a Panel Beater, with a minimum of 5-8 years in the automotive trades industry

Proficient in the use of panel beating tools and equipment, including hydraulic jacks, pneumatic tools, hoist, floor rack and welding machines

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

A keen eye for quality and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies
