About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to deliver competent, evidence-based clinical psychology services as a member of an integrated, multidisciplinary mental health team for people with persistent and disabling symptoms of mental illness, their carer's and relevant stakeholders with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within recovery-orientated and trauma-informed frameworks.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Exercise increasingly independent clinical judgement and core problem solving skills and appropriate risk management strategies to a complex caseload with supervision from a more senior clinician, commensurate with level of knowledge and clinical expertise.
  • Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team by providing discipline specific clinical advice and contribute to the development of treatment and discharge planning and service provision.
  • Deliver clinical education and clinical practice supervision to less experienced clinicians, students, and members of the multidisciplinary team, commensurate with level of experience, with the support and guidance of senior clinical staff.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practice and outcomes within clinical service area including supporting the achievement of key performance indicators.
