Mental Health Clinician/ Family and Carer Consultant (FCC) - St George Mental Health Service

Community Mental Health, St George Mental Health Service, located on the St George Hospital campus, Kogarah.

Selection Criteria:
- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer; or qualifications in Psychology with a minimum four year degree with a major in psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia; or current Authority to Practice and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with at least five years full time equivalent post registration clinical experience and post graduate qualifications relevant to area of specialty or such other qualifications.
- Extensive post graduate experience in in mental health including working with families and carers.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, treatment and management of families of people who have a mental illness in a mental health and community setting, including evidence based family/carer focused interventions.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinical services throughout all organisational levels to enhance pathways and transfer between care settings.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence for families and carers, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
- The ability to initiate, lead, complete co-design quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence or willingness to travel in accordance with the role requirements.
