About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repair work on a range of heavy vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role combines workshop and field service work, offering a dynamic and varied environment.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel engines, heavy machinery, and fleet vehicles
• Attending client sites as required (on a rotating on-call roster) to diagnose and resolve breakdowns
• Accurately troubleshooting and fixing mechanical faults using industry best practices
• Following WHS standards and contributing to a clean and safe work environment

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic
• A current manual driver’s licence (MR/HR licence desirable)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Trade qualifications in heavy vehicle mechanics
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Great time management and self-motivation
