What we're looking for:

We are currently seeking a casual Registered Nurse with experience in general practice to work at our Mt Gravatt centre. Immediate start is available for 4+ shifts per week.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic individual who enjoys working within a medical centre environment and is comfortable with the day to day requirements of GP nurse. The suitable candidate will form strong working relationships with the administration team, nurses and doctors. You will be responsible for all aspects of nursing while providing exceptional customer care. In addition to this ideally our new RN will have the ability to perform the role of site senior.

Responsibilities include:

Spirometry

Assisting with minor surgical procedures

CCMs, Health Checks and Assessments

Injury and wound care

Childhood Immunisations

Recalls and result confirmation

Coordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, care of medical instruments and equipment, and general maintenance

Required skills/experience:

Current RN AHPRA registration

Experience working as a RN in general practice is essential

Excellent communication skills

Professional presentation

Capacity to multi-task and prioritise

Well developed knowledge and skills in the use of computers e.g. Best Practice, Microsoft Office etc.

Sound understanding of quality practice systems and implementation

Demonstrates outstanding people skills with the ability to relate well to patients, health care professionals/external health facilities

The successful applicant will be available to work between 8am & 8pm weekdays with potential shifts on weekends also
