Mining Operator - Entry Level

Whitehaven Coal is Australia's largest independent coal producer and the leading coal producer in Northwest New South Wales.

About the role:

Are you a motivated individual seeking to start your career in Mining? WorkPac are currently recruiting new to industry operators at an Open Cut coal mine site near Boggabri. Previous operating experience in civil, quarry or farming favourable but not required.

What you will need:

• Previous experience operating mobile plant in a civil, quarry or construction environment (Loaders, Dozers, Moxys, Excavators etc) favourable but not required
• Full C Class Licence and can confidently drive manual
• Residential address located within 1hrs drive to Mine site (maules creek area)
• Ability to undertake an Order 43 Medical and Drug and Alcohol screening.
• CMI check (or willing to obtain)

What you will be doing:

• Learn how to safely operate Dump Trucks in a coal mining environment
• Working both Day and Night shifts on a Monday - Friday roster
• Meeting KPIs within the coal production environment

Benefits:

Hourly rate of $35.91per hour base rate + penalties

Additional night shift allowance of $5.39 per hour

10.5 hour shifts

Monday - Friday roster

Superannuation paid on all rostered hours

Additional hourly allowances accrued after your first 3 months:

Allowance 1: $5 per hour paid weekly

Allowance 2: $5 per hour paid quarterly
