About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to develop, implement and evaluate orientation, clinical education and training programs in Sleep Sciences at TPCH Sleep Disorders Centre. The role will provide high level clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team as well as clinical practice supervision of less experienced staff and students.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Develop, deliver, facilitate and evaluate orientation, clinical education and training programs, including resources that meet the learning needs of staff, new graduates and students in Sleep Science
  • Provide effective professional support and supervision of less experienced staff and students, utilising contemporary knowledge of relevant professional standards including support for candidates of the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) examination credential.
  • Build and maintain productive professional relationships, partnerships and direct communication lines with key stakeholders both within and external to the organisation, including managers, colleagues, tertiary institutions, educational and clinical networks and professional bodies across the HHS and state.
  • Utilise evidence and research to support quality and service improvement initiatives that contribute to the development of better education, training and professional clinical practice in Sleep Science.
