About the Position
Bond University’s Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science offers a dynamic and immersive learning experience, combining the science of human movement with hands-on application. Delivered at the Bond Institute of Health & Sport, the program provides students with direct exposure to elite athletes, high-performance training, and real-world industry placements.
Associate Professor B / Assistant Professor A will contribute to the delivery of our current undergraduate programs through high-quality teaching, research, and service and to the development of a new accredited exercise physiology (AEP) programme. Reporting to the Head of Program, the role supports academic excellence and professional engagement across the faculty.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering innovative and evidence-based teaching across relevant subjects.
Supporting student learning and supervision, including coordination of practicum placements.
Contributing to curriculum development for the exercise physiology programme.
Contributing to research aligned with Faculty priorities.
Engaging in university service, governance, and professional development activities.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will have:
A PhD in a relevant field and current ESSA registration as an AES or AEP.
Demonstrated teaching experience in exercise assessment, prescription & delivery, exercise physiology, clinical conditions, and chronic disease management.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practical and clinical teaching at the university level.
Experience supervising student placements and engaging with clinical and allied health stakeholders.
A developing research profile aligned with faculty priorities, including publications or educational evaluation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative, inclusive learning environments.
Experience in curriculum innovation and managing academic standards in higher education will be highly regarded.
Salary details
The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
Associate Professor B remuneration commences at $168,153.03 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Assistant Professor A remuneration commences at $160,204.81 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
