What you'll be doing
The Oral Health Clinical Director is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the clinical governance, management and delivery of a high quality and effective oral health service to eligible patients within the Mid North Coast Local Health District, in accordance with NSW Health Policy and within the scope of a publicly funded dental program.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Unconditional registration with the Dental Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority and a current drivers licence and willingness to travel and work in various locations within the network.
- Extensive experience and high level competence in general dentistry, including highly developed skills in the management of complex clinical cases.
- Demonstrated experience as part of a senior management team engaged in service delivery, with high level interpersonal, negotiation, representation, communication and liaison skills with both clinical and non clinical staff.
- Proven capacity to successfully lead a diverse range of clinical staff in the delivery of high quality, well integrated and comprehensive health services while successfully managing staff and resources, complaints and performance issues.
- Demonstrated ability to use conceptual and innovative problem solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing successful recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions across complex areas.
- Relevant high-level experience in providing policy advise, policy and audit development and implementation; together with a comprehensive understanding and proven track record in leading National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHSS) activity across multiple clinics and or departments.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of national and state Oral Health strategic directions and contemporary operations of public dental services with demonstrated commitment to the underlying principles of the NSW Oral Health Access Policy Directive, a population approach to Oral Health and to a well-developed program of clinical governance to support clinical practice.
- Highly developed time management, communication and organizational skills including adept use of technology including administrative information systems (eg Word, Excel), clinical information systems (eg Titanium) and digital technology to support clinical practice (eg Telehealth).

Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres extending from Port Macquarie Hastings Local Government Area in the south to Coffs Harbour Local Government Area in the north.
MNCLHD is a non commercial government funded health organisation that provides quality health care at public hospitals in Bellingen, Coffs Harbour, Dorrigo, Kempsey, Macksville, Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
