Your part in our St Andrews War Memorial Hospital team
Working as an Orderly in the Theatre team, you will assist the nursing staff with the safe transfer, repositioning and mobilisation of patients and the setting up of the theatre equipment in preparation for procedures.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Ensuring patient safety during procedures and transfers
Handling and setting up of hospital equipment in preparation for procedures
Assisting the transport of patients to and from the ICU
Following hospital guidelines in relation to Infection Control
Assisting nursing team members with various patient procedures
Safe manual handling and the effective use of mechanical lifting aids

Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
