Company & Job:

Skilled and experienced technicians, fitters, or boilermakers are required to work on a variety of projects. Responsible for performing specialized mechanical fitting, maintenance, and fabrication tasks on a wide range of machinery (welding, fabrication), including pipework, hoppers, conveyors, pressure vessels, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to customer and service inquiries with Project Managers.
• Participate in toolbox meetings to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Perform mechanical fitting, repairs, and servicing of production machinery and plant equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance, shutdown maintenance, and installation of pumps, filters, and process equipment components.
• Assemble tanks, hoppers, mixers, and pressure vessels, and perform fault-finding and repair tasks.
• On-site steel fabrication assessments and perform specialised welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and grinding of stainless steel products.
• Ability to work in overhead, flat, and vertical stances, and conduct welding operations safely and efficiently.

Requirements & what's on offer:

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter / Boilermaker) or equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience in stainless steel fabrication and installation of medium to heavy industrial applications and equipment.
• Proficiency in 1 of the following: MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• High regard for safety, with knowledge of safe work practices and standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Base rates are $40 to $55 per hour, and overtime/shift loading, Super, and Professional Development.
