About the role

Jobwire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Casino, Kyogle and surrounding areas.

As an Assistant in Nursing in this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality healthcare and support to our aged care residents. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while working in a welcoming and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

Assisting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering personal care to residents

Helping with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal assistance

Monitoring and reporting on residents' health and well-being

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for our residents

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

A relevant Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification

Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing or similar role in an aged care setting

Recent paid experience in Australia within the aged care sector within 6 months

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families

A compassionate and patient-centred approach to caregiving

Excellent observation and problem-solving skills

A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
