Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer
Albion Park Harness Racing Club – Brisbane

The Albion Park Harness Racing Club, Queensland’s metropolitan home of harness racing, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic sporting and events environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries

Prepare BAS, payroll, superannuation, and end-of-month reporting

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for racing and events

Maintain accurate financial records in line with compliance requirements

Liaise with management, external accountants, and auditors

Provide day-to-day support for operational and administrative financial needs

Skills & Experience:

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (MYOB/Xero or similar software)

Strong understanding of payroll, GST, and basic accounting principles

High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Excellent communication and organisational skills
