The Role:

We are seeking an AHPRA-registered Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team on a contractor basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time position.

This role involves providing telehealth consultations to patients, with a focus on evidence-based care and adherence to prescribing protocols for medicinal cannabis where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide telehealth consultations and patient care in line with AHPRA and TGA requirements.

Prescribe in accordance with Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 regulatory frameworks (state and federal).

Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (consultation notes, treatment plans, informed consent).

Participate in case reviews and ongoing CPD activities.

Uphold patient confidentiality, safety, and ethical standards at all times.

Requirements

Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner.

Professional Indemnity Insurance (meeting AHPRA standards).

Eligibility to prescribe Schedule 4 and 8 medicines.

Understanding of TGA’s Special Access Scheme (SAS-B) and Authorised Prescriber pathways.

Access to and familiarity with HPOS, PRODA, My Health Record, and real-time prescription monitoring systems.

Prior experience in medicinal cannabis prescribing is highly desirable.
