The Opportunity

Join our team at Next Smile Melbourne as a Dental Assistant. In this full-time role based in Hawthorn, VIC, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the dental professionals in their day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist dentists and OHTs in our busy clinical setting, including surgical/GA and scouting for various procedures

Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols

Ensure the dental operatory is properly stocked and organised

Greet and welcome patients, helping them feel comfortable and at ease

Provide chairside assistance, including preparing treatment rooms, taking impressions, and providing post-operative care instructions

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling telephone inquiries

What We're Looking For

Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification ideal

Minimum 2 year of experience as a Dental Assistant in an Australia Dental Practice setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive patient experience
