Stay Upright, the pioneer of motorcycle rider training, is a nationally recognised training organisation, that has recently expanded its operations into Heavy Vehicle and High Risk Work Training with the acquisition of Advanced Heavy Vehicle Driver Training and Australia Wide Forklift Training Centre, based in Tullamarine.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trainer/ Assessor in Heavy Vehicle and High Risk Work to join our growing team. This key role will also act as 2IC to the Operations Manager (HV &HRW), providing leadership and operational support to ensure efficient and high quality delivery of training across our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver training and assessment in Heavy Vehicle and High Risk Work in line with compliance requirements of VicRoads and WorkSafe Victoria

Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day training operations

Mentor and guide other trainers, fostering a strong safety and performance culture

Assist with scheduling, resource and asset management

Contribute to course development and continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Current driver (with Heavy Vehicle HR or above) and forklift licence

Accreditation to train/ assess in Heavy Vehicles under VicRoads

WorkSafe Victoria Individual Assessor qualification to perform High Risk Work Training

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent

Extensive practical experience within the transport, training or high-risk work sector

Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience within the transport, training or high-risk work sector

Leadership qualities with previous experience supporting and guiding a team

Minimum 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience supporting and guiding a team

Strong organisational and communication skills
