About us:
The Maternity Service at the Rockhampton Hospital is the main birthing hub for Central Queensland and caters for approximately 1400 births annually. It provides a level 4 maternity service: The Antenatal Clinic offers outpatient antenatal care and education; the Antenatal/Postnatal 15 bed ward offers inpatient care and maternity assessment unit; the 5 bed Birth Suite offers care during birth and high dependency care; and the level 4 Special Care Nursery offers medium to high dependency care to neonates. There is a strong focus on interdisciplinary care planning and networking with community agencies. The midwifery group practice provides care for women within an all-risk model of continuity.
About the role:
The Registered Nurse Student Midwife provides nursing services within the Maternity Unit; and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, National Midwifery Board of Australia standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care under the guidance of the Registered Midwife. The Registered Nurse-Student Midwife works within the Maternity Unit whilst completing a Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery.
About you:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory with a current registration with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Must be completing postgraduate studies in Diploma of Midwifery.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
